People come from all over for our desserts, you could say it was our specialty, but the food that is prepared daily in our store is so good that it’s tough to make a choice. We bake 99% from scratch, use no shortening or mixes, and only real butter, eggs, cream to bring you products that are as good as it gets. Our pastry team is dedicated to providing our clients with the freshest & best possible baked goods anywhere. At The Pantry we adjust our offerings daily so it doesn’t get boring or monotonous for our customers. Whether you cruise in for an espresso & a world peace cookie or you are grabbing dessert to bring to the beach or a party, we have you covered. Please note: desserts disappear quickly, we suggest pre-ordering to avoid arriving to an empty selection at the end of the day!! The Pantry dessert department has been recognized as #1 year after year from the Fairfield County’s reader’s poll as tops for pastry since 2003.
We have also received numerous accolades from N.Y. Times, CT Post, CT Bites, CT Magazine etc. Stop in & you’ll see why.

The 2 most confused desserts we prepare:
On the left side is a Strawberry Shortcake: It’s made with a biscuit from April through end of September (approximately) – We discontinue once strawberries are beyond the peak season.
On the right side is a Strawberry & Cream cake: It’s made from our yellow cake recipe. It’s available year round. We make them every day for orders plus one or 2 for retail. The reason we don’t make either cake in abundance is so we don’t have to throw them out the next day, so when you want one – order one (in advance). The price is the same year round so we eat it in the winter when berries are expensive & we sell it for the correct price the rest of the year. We do not make biscuit shortcakes in the winter because – it’s winter!
