How our store works!
Each day we prepare food in batches that fills our retail cases with product. There are a great number of people contributing to this effort. There are stock items made daily, plus specials peppered in through the weeks, months, and seasons. We offer a LIMITED amount of catering from everything we prepare on any given day. Because of space & time limitations we choose when to stop taking additional outside catering orders based on staffing availability, space to store product once its made, and some sort of wish for sanity! This routinely happens, so we urge you to place orders early. There are foods listed on 3 menus, and these items are what we make, how we make it. In almost every circumstance we do not alter recipes because we have established labels/yields & protocol for every menu item. If you need to omit or sub an item, that usually isn’t an issue. If you need aunt Sarah’s 3 bean salad the way she used to make it – probably not happening here. Catering with us: We operate 1st come + 1st served basis. If you missed a deadline for holidays or need something last minute, the best advice is to come in early and shop the day you need food. Once a date has been closed for additional food, bakery or deli orders it also becomes closed for us to “Hold food” if you call first thing in the morning. This reasoning is 2-fold: First, we do not have the space to store your item(s). Second, it is unfair at that point to take an order while people are waiting in line for the same items. If you are shopping for a small group, it’s best to come in and pick out what inspires you. (The best selection would be from 9:30 am – 2 pm). We will always try to accommodate any order, but if you wait until the very last minute, it can be an issue. Thank you.
